Health Coverage Dependent Child

Removes the requirement that an unmarried child under age 25 must be enrolled in school full time to be considered a dependent. Prohibits insurance companies from refusing to provide coverage.

Motor Vehicle Insurance Fines

HB05-1167
Allows a person who is convicted of driving without insurance to use all but $100 of the fine to purchase 6 months' worth of insurance for a first offense or one year's worth of insurance for a second or subsequent offense within 5 years.

SB05-137 - Identity Theft Security Freezes

Permits a consumer to put a security freeze on his or her credit report, to take it off if necessary and allows a consumer to bring civil right of action against a credit reporting agency if information is released in violation of the security freeze. Requires that a consumer be notified of the right to place a security freeze and prohibits a credit reporting agency from furnishing a consumer's credit header to someone who does not have a permissible basis to obtain the consumer credit header.
