| Consumers United Association Legislative Update |
February 7,2005 |
|
|
Greetings!
We are writing to inform you of some legislative
activities that may be of interest to Consumers
United Association members. CUA encourages our
members to be actively involved in issues that impact
your personal finances. While CUA does advocate for
our members, it is extremely important for individuals
to contact their own representatives to let them
know their views. This information includes how to
contact legislators to express your opinions about
these issues.
The following bills are being considered this week in
committee. To express your views on these bills,
contact committee members. This is especially
important if you live in the district of one of the
committee members but it is still valuable for you to
call even if you do not live in their district. To find
out who the elected officials are for your district, go
to: Project
Vote Smart. You will need your nine-digit zip
code.
